I have developed and delivered hundreds of events at national science festivals, working with researchers, artists and other collaborators. I draw on this experience to train researchers in activity development and other areas of public engagement, with a particular focus on tailoring activities to their target audience and creating diverse, accessible and inclusive events.

“It was great to have Hana along as one of our invited speakers for our Public Engagement conference. Our researchers really valued hearing from someone outside of the University ‘bubble’ who could give them insight into what public engagement is like at the coal-face. I think the external input also helped to shape our wider discussions on the day and emboldened our attendees to think more ambitiously and creatively.” – Leah Fitzsimmons, Public Engagement Officer at the University of Birmingham
“Hana ran a session on engaging with wider audiences for postgraduate science students at a Minorities in STEM symposium. Her session was dynamic, informative and honest with many of the participants commenting that they benefited from session and would consider doing public engagement. Hana is able fuse her knowledge of producing science events with her experience of engaging the public herself, to give her audience unique and valuable insight into the world of science communication and engagement.” – Yolanda Ohene, Expanding Diversity symposium organiser, UCL
